The CBCF Leadership Network is a professional association for more than a 1,000 alumni who have participated in the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's educational programs since 1976.  The Leadership Network draws its membership from the Congressional Fellows Program, the Congressional Internship Program, Wal-Mart Emerging Leaders Internship Program, the CBCF Communications Internship Program, the Public Health Fellows Program, and the Eleanor Holmes Norton High School Internship Program.

Our mission is to provide educational enrichment, leadership development, career advancement, and networking opportunities for our members, while also serving as a vehicle for alumni to conduct outreach for the CBCF.

Our motto, "Developing Leaders, Building Connections," reflects our commitment to provide our members with the support, training, and relationships needed to maximize their professional success and their ability to serve as resources to the community and the CBCF.

The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. (CBCF) was established in 1976 as a non-partisan, non-profit, public policy, research and educational institute. Our mission is to serve as the non-partisan policy-oriented catalyst that educates future leaders and promotes collaboration among legislators, business leaders, minority-focused organizational leaders, and organized labor to effect positive and sustainable change in the African American community. To that end, CBCF works to broaden and elevate the influence of African Americans in the political, legislative, and public policy arenas.
